Hardik, Gill looks like he's going to hit the gas pedal
Hardik and Gill are raising GT. Both batsmen ran smooth balls from Shardul Thakur in the 12th inning. In the next race, Shubman also completed an aggressive fifty.
GT will need to play top gear in a tough game in order to provide the bowlers with a competitive score to defend.
Gujarat Titans Playing XI: Shubman Gill, Matthew Wade (wk), Vijay Shankar, Abhinav Manohar, Hardik Pandya (c), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Varun Aaron, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammed Shami
Delhi Capitals Playing XI: Prithvi Shaw, Tim Seifert, Mandeep Singh, Rishabh Pant (c, wk), Rovman Powell, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Khaleel Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman
It will be interesting to see how similarly good finishers Lalit and Tewati react to the limelight on Saturday. If the duo can make hiss noise, the cannon work in each unit will be much easier.
Both teams practiced at the stadium on Friday night. Capitals all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is in good health under the scanner and has been forced to quarantine after arriving in Mumbai.
The Titans hope that Hardik Pandya will further strengthen the four bowlers he threw in the opening game and that Rashid will continue to put pressure on the Capitals' professional batsman. Having failed to fire with the Mumbai Indians last week, it would be interesting to see the reaction of something like Captain Pante and Prithvi on Saturday.
